Estepona Golf courses

Valle Romano Golf has features which make it unique in its design, geographical location and the fact that it is a model of sustainability. Not only does it comply with current environmental regulations, but in its building priority was given to preserving the largest possible area of vegetation, so that it can serve as a refuge for native fauna and flora.

The fact that it is a camp suitable for all levels of player, together with an excellent standard of maintenance, good facilities, a privileged geographical setting (all the holes have sea views) and a high level of commitment on the part of all the people involved in the project mean that this course meets all the requirements for organising any kind of competition.

The designer

The course was created by Cabell B. Robinson, one of the world’s top golf course designers. This leading architect is the author of some of the 100 best golf courses in the world according to Golf Magazine. His work includes numerous well-known courses in Spain, France, Morocco, Switzerland, Portugal, Cyprus and Italy.

The Holes

The Valle Romano golf course in Estepona, Málaga, has had great care lavished on its design and possesses a personality which is simple but very much its own. It is ready to join the European Circuit, with fairways designed to suit players at all levels and extremely spacious greens.

The 18 holes are a homage to our champions, the men and women golfers who have written so many chapters in the history of the Spanish game with their victories. Their names live on at Valle Romano, with all our affection and appreciation.

Golf School

Since September 2011 the golfing professional Gabriel Cañizares has been the new Technical Director of the Golf School at Valle Romano. Cañizares provides supervision and advice on methodology and the golf techniques taught to all students at our school.

Our programmes are designed to meet the needs of every enthusiast, from beginners to experts, and make use of the latest coaching techniques in the golf world.

The Valle Romano Golf School offers beginners’ and advanced courses, week intensives, specific courses in putting and short play, VIP courses, clinics and individual lessons, among other things.

Special attention is paid to our youngest players, with monthly courses run on Saturday mornings, as well as intensive programmes in the summer.
